Sprung from cages on Highway 9

28 06 2011

Elaborating on all the technicalities and mechanical preparation issues of the past few days would not be as exicting as the latest fortune cookie I encountered. My favorite two lines from my favorite poem “Dreams” by Langston Hughes appeared in a fortune cookie yesterday. This odd coincidence only added to the melting pot of adrenaline and emotion that has been building up for tomorrow.

We are leaving tomorrow morning from South End Pavilion, Spring Lake, NJ at 10:00 am. We will be dipping our tires in the Atlantic Ocean; feel free to come ride the first few miles with us if you’re interested!

Of course your farewell dinner was chinese!….Too bad JCB closed down, I know that would have been the real farewell feast, complete with 50 sugar donuts and a hoodie full of stolen fortune cookies for the ride home!

Good luck guys I’ll be checking in on you in a few days.
